Sharing Our Dream
Paid for Grades has made a significant impact since its inception in 2013. In that time, we’ve helped hundreds of students to excel academically through monetary incentives. Paid for Grades partnered with three South Pinellas schools this year — Boca Ciega High School, Lakewood High School, and Hollins High School — to boost the academic performance of ninth graders in our community.
“I started doing my work,” Conklin said, commenting on his experience participating in the program. “Getting it over with and not letting any other people stop me in that class.”
With the ongoing support of our key local sponsor, Chargebacks911, we’ve been able to donate over $1.5 million to students and schools in Pinellas County. We believe in fostering a generation of students imbued with the skills and confidence they need to reach their potential.
“The dangling of the money gets them interested, then once they see how much the teachers in the program care, then they start to buy in,” said Brenda Hankin, a teacher at Hollins High School.
Our founder Monica Eaton’s vision is to inspire self-belief and transformation in students, leading to lasting change. “If you change the life of one student, that has such an amazing effect, it could change the life of an entire generation,” she says.
Join us in celebrating this milestone, and thank you for your continuing support as we aim to change the world — one student at a time! Click here to see our feature on Bay News 9.
